Bunny Bun: A Playful Yet Polished Display Font
Practical Designer Notes You’ll Actually Use
- Test Bunny Bun in black and white first—its charm holds up without color crutches.
- Check small-size readability at 14pt on screen and 10pt in print. It’s legible down to 12pt if line height is 1.5x and contrast is high—but never rely on it below that.
- Always mock it up on real surfaces: a printed label, a phone screenshot, a fabric swatch. Rendering varies wildly between devices and substrates.
- Compare uppercase vs. lowercase usage side-by-side. Lowercase delivers more personality; uppercase works only for stark, rhythmic emphasis.
- Review spacing carefully. Default kerning is solid, but tighten ‘AV’, ‘To’, and ‘Wa’ manually in logos.
- Pair it intentionally: try Bunny Bun over a sturdy serif (like Merriweather) for editorial balance, or beside a neutral sans (like Inter or Poppins) for modern contrast. Avoid pairing with other script fonts or overly decorative display fonts—they compete, not complement.
- Confirm commercial licensing before any client or business use. Bunny Bun is a commercial font—great for digital products and printable design, but verify redistribution rights if bundling into templates or SaaS tools.
